Living and growing up in the ghettos of Long Beach, California 1994, Manny Scott, much like the rest of his peers, was destined for failure. However, with a little inspiration, Manny Scott graduated from high school and went on to further his education and better his life.

If you have ever seen the movie Freedom Writers, you can see what life was like for these individuals who had to overcome their own obstacles to become something great. These high school students lived in a pattern where they would either end up in jail, have a low paying job, or would live in poverty. However, a little inspiration from just one person who would believe in them and give them hope changed the course of their life. This person was their English teacher, Erin Gruwell.

With just a little hope Manny Scoot went on to graduate from the University of California at Berkeley with degrees in Political Science and Rhetoric. Manny also graduated from Trinity International University with a Masters of Divinity. Today, Manny does many things in his career, but one of the greatest is going to schools all over the nation as a motivational speaker to empower and provide hope to as many hearts as he can reach. His most influential quote is, "Even on your worst day, you can be someone's best hope."

Manny Scott married his college sweetheart and now has three kids. He is the author of many books that including R.E.A.C.H, Even on your worst day, you can be your student's best hope, From Fs and Ds to As and Bs, Your Next Chapter, and Speak!

Despite having such a difficult childhood and life growing up, Manny Scott has achieved countless goals in this life. However, his motivation never stopped there. If you have ever heard of his speech you will really reflect on yourself and feel like you want to do better and more for yourself.

Manny helped thousands of schools raise student achievement, intercultural competence, and leader efficacy in 49 states and on some continents as well. Manny has also helped prevent thousands of student dropouts and suicides. Manny Scott started with nothing but made something great out of himself. There should be no reason why no one else cant.
