6.9 Three Reasons Why Choosing CVTC's Professional Communications Program is the BEST Decision You'll Ever Make

Making the decision to attend the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) as Professional Communications student was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Let me tell you why. It’s really as simple as 1…2…3!

1. The instructors are masters of their craft. The instructors at CVTC have years of experience in their fields. This means that they’re able to communicate in a way that is both relatable and understandable. When you attend a course through CVTC, it’s much like you’re at an event and talking to someone who’s really excited about what he/she does. They break down content into easily-digestible bits and avoid focusing on meaningless fluff that’s not relevant to you or what you need to know.

2. The content learned is applied to everyday life. Unlike taking a class in analyzing classic literature (which I love, but it’s not exactly practical), the content you will learn during your time at CVTC will be continuously tied back to how/why it applies to your daily personal or work-life. You will learn ways of making your work-life more efficient. You’ll also learn how to better reach your peers and business partners. You will learn how to more effectively use Microsoft Office, or you’ll learn how to write a business proposal that is engaging and communicates your message in a way that maximizes your audience’s buy-in. Whatever you learn, you can be sure that you will use it every day of your life.

3. The content is delivered 100% online. The program is one that is offered solely online. This is a godsend for me—and others—because it allows for more flexibility with my work schedule. It truly is a perfect option for working adults! This, of course, doesn’t mean that you can do your work whenever you feel like it. The instructors are pros at creating engaging online platforms for learning, and they’re great at holding students accountable to adhere to deadlines. What it does mean is this: you can save on gas money and take away the stress of making sure you have to be in class at a precise time. If online only isn’t 100% your thing, CVTC does offer blended courses, so you can still attend a face-to-face class one or two days a week and do most of the course work online. The instructors are also dedicated to ensuring you succeed. They will make time for you to meet with them. You just have to ask!
